Well here’s an interesting little tidbit I came across yesterday.
If Congress approves a bill introduced this month, you will be able to find out – just like that – if your doctor is being paid by the company that makes the pills he’s pushing. If the bill becomes law, drug makers and medical device manufacturers will have to report the name and address of every doctor to whom they give more than $25 in travel, entertainment, consulting fees, discounts and gifts.
