Saint Michael The Archangel

Saint Michael The ArchangelSaint Michael The ArchangelI want to talk about Saint Michael, the Archangel. I believe today we need him more than ever, while we’re stuck in this world trying to fight off constant attacks by satan and his demonic pals.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

In the mighty combat which took place in Heaven, when the bad Angels fell away from their allegiance to God, St. Michael sounded his war cry:

Quis ut Deus?(“Who is like God?”)

From the New Advent Catholic encyclopedia we have the following:

St. Michael is one of the principal angels; his name was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers. Four times his name is recorded in Scripture: Daniel 10:13, Daniel 12, The Catholic Epistle of St. Jude and the Apocalypse 12:7.

Christian tradition gives to St. Michael four offices:

  • To fight against Satan.
  • To rescue the souls of the faithful from the power of the enemy, especially at the hour of death.
  • To be the champion of God’s people, the Jews in the Old Law, the Christians in the New Testament; therefore he was the patron of the Church, and of the orders of knights during the Middle Ages.
  • To call away from earth and bring men’s souls to judgment (“signifer S. Michael repraesentet eas in lucam sanctam”, Offert. Miss Defunct. “Constituit eum principem super animas suscipiendas”, Antiph. off. Cf. “Hermas”, Pastor, I, 3, Simil. VIII, 3).

O glorious prince St. Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King and our admirable conductor, you who shine with excellence and superhuman virtue deliver us from all evil, who turn to you with confidence and enable us by your gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day. Amen.

Jennifer,

This piece on Saint Michael gave me confort. Here I sit next to the impact zone in the International Zone which we have recieved mortar fire damn near every day. It really gets on your nerves when you hear the alarm “incomming, incoming, take shelter” two or three times a day knowing it will impact within 500 meters from the speaker system. You hope to Christ it does not have your name on it once you reach some kind of shelter or running to one. I believe Satan is alive and operating here in this region while stupid, cock sucking liberals back in the world are saying this is not their problem. I hope the first wave take all the liberal sick bastards out. Done……….

Bravo! I agree, profesor querido.

If you don’t already have one, I HIGHLY recommend a scapular for you to wear always. I take mine off prior to a shower but the rest of the time I wear it. There is a Saint Michael scapular, you will find it here: http://catholicmoms.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=SSMMCBS&Category_Code=DEV

And this is the one I ordered for myself last week: http://catholicmoms.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SM&Product_Code=SICBLS

“Profesor Querido,” Thanks!

Sweet Jeniffer you fill my heart with joy of faith, friendship and unquestional love of life. Thank you for thinking of me in a matter that is above my wisdom. I am just a simple man, a man of fabric, a man of belief, a man that is certain of what he does not see but believes in the words of God, Jesus Christ……

In the midst of anguish, pain, and near paralyzation, I prayed to the Lord, God, the Holy Spirit, please give me a sign. Am I to walk again, can you take me off of this earth, too many times have I been hurt physically and I feel emotionally like I will soon be like those I used to care for, a paralytic. (Former nurse, AA flt.attdt.~world traveler, born overseas on Military Base). As I lay in bed in May of 1998, @ approximately 3:00 p.m., a huge light came over the room I had darkened with shades. With it came a most beautiful, blonde haired, blue, blue, blue eyes, huge wings, outspread hands, a wide smile. As the hands and arms spread out to me, I felt an extreme warmth overcome me. I was in a Craftmatic bed in upright position. Put out my hands to go with this most magnificent Angel, sent to me through prayer to the Holy Trinity. As I felt the warmth spread over me, I thought this Angel was going to take me with Him. The whole room was full of light. As I reached out, the Angel at the right foot of my bed, hands still spread out and a most beautiful smile, left within minutes. Amazed by what I had seen, feeling the healing warmth, I got out of bed, into the car, went to the library and found the depiction of the Angel I had this encounter with. Thank you Father, thank you Lord, thank you Holy Spirit, He is the strongest of all the Angels, I was blessed with a visitation from Archangel Michael. Angel worship is not the way to go, but he was brought to me through prayer to the Holy Trinity. I had no death wish, but I saw no reason for all the pain and suffering I was going through and still am. In exchange for this pain and suffering, God gave me gifts. Insight, laying on of hands, which I perform on animals, which have been witnessed by others. I long to find others who have had visitations in times of near death or extreme conditions, and the effects in had on them. Visions of the future and visions of the past have been shown to me as well, the ability to leave my physical body and look down upon it has also occurred. We live in a very scary world which I now believe and have proof that when prayer to the Highest is offered and questions are asked, you will get answers. You will get a mission, you will be fulfilled. All pictures of Archangel Michael are as I saw, blond hair, blue, blue, blue eyes, light as bright as the sun and warm healing. Hope, faith, miracles, and the endless quest for the Second Coming and the New Heaven are closer than ever, every day is a day nearer to this time. Please believe me as my life has been changed. But I also am continuously tested. God forgives, God guides, God loves, God will send you a sign if you really need it. Mine came in the form of one of the Greatest Angels. The Guardian Angel prayer is one always said by my family as long as I can remember, especially before travel. God Bless all of you fighting for us physically and know that spiritually you are always protected. Hold that to your heart. Not afraid, Lauren

I believe that Gov. Mike Huckabee Presidential candidate is a blessing for this country. St. Michael guide him and give him strength.

All of our brothers do not fight in vain- Ive had a few nightmares of my fate in my upcoming tour of iraq and they are alarming me considerably. My fiancee has also had nightmares of my falling. This is undue to nerves- it is something we have both felt. As good christians we want to bring up children and live a life of one luxury- love in our family.
I woke the other night after hearing a voice calling me to the other side ‘who is like God’ i kept hearing.
What is this all about?

Michael came to me once in l970. He told me “I give you the sword of the spirit into your hand. Take it and fight evil.”

Yes, always, the most Glorious Holy Archangel Michael come for help once we call the Most Holy Trinity. Nothing to be fear he will always guides us that leads to God alone, the true joy of our heart and rest of our soul through the merits of the same Jesus Christ our Savior.

No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

Anointing of the Sick is that sacrament which is administered to strengthen Christians who are in danger of death from sickness or old age. • Trinity Thursday, 30 October 2008
It is not easy to describe the Trinity, let alone understand this great mystery of the Catholic Faith. Perhaps the most important thing we can say about the Trinity is that the one and only God is truly a dynamic and self-sufficient community of love, and is therefore the source, model and goal of all other love. Thus does God reveal Himself as Father, Son a […]

Doing apologetics means defending the faith […]
